“The Leadership Development Programme undoubtedly caused me to have a paradigm shift with regard to how I manage many aspects of being an educator. The coach assigned to me was the epitome of support and promoted wholeness, wellness, and professionalism within my teaching career.
I feel enriched by the knowledge and strategies that were imparted and I also fostered a great network with other teachers as well. As educators, we are life-long learners and professional growth, and development is our responsibility.
This programme helped me to reflect, share best practices and also learn new methodologies which ultimately contributed to me winning the Provincial Award at the National Teaching Awards. Charnelle is great at influencing the classroom energy through her heart lifting way to connect to her learners and introducing brain breaks as part of her classroom culture as part of Teach the Nation Trauma Informed pedagogy to optimise learning. Our learners are for sure exposed to a great teacher role model through Charnelle Hector leadership.
