David Oliphant loves to see humans grow and develop. He believes that is the reason for his passion to be part of the process to launch the organisation Since 2017 to fulfill the dream of laying the foundation to fight the problems associated with education inequity in South Africa.
He is currently completing his Masters in Project Management at the University of Cape Town. Since 2017 he has been employed at Old Mutual Impact Investing as a property investor related to affordable schools and housing.
He’s family has a culture of teachers and the professional goes back three generations. The philosophy that teaching is able to reorientate your destiny in life was reinforced when it helped direct his path to a greater calling. Since 2017, he has committed himself to fulfill the dream of laying the foundation to fight the problems associated with education inequity in South Africa.

Emillie has harnessed a strong and heartfelt passion in contributing towards uplifting vulnerable communities that have been unfairly discriminated against because of their background. Through this, she is able to offer herself to create opportunities for sustainable and dignified livelihoods. She has worked as a fishermen federation manager and a UNDP funded project writer and manager that promotes sustainable livelihoods for the fisher women community of her island.
She is completing her masters in Climate change and development and has been volunteering for Teach the nation as a founding member, following her heart in uplifting the most vulnerable, wherever her endeavour is needed.

As a scholar Associate Professor Kosheek Sewchurran is primarily interested in organizing practices and research that acknowledge the realities of a lived-experience. This scholarship finds expression in the conversation he convenes related to Business Model Innovation, Strategy-as-practice and Leadership-as-practice. This scholarship also finds expression in his role as the program director of the Executive MBA which he has curated since December 2013. His responsibilities on the Executive MBA include designing the program conversations, interventions and pedagogical outcomes to nurture the development of executives who are able to, in their actions and their being, lead authentically in the societal context humanity experiences.
Before he joined the GSB, he was Assoc Prof and HOD of the Department of Information Systems at University of Cape Town’s Faculty of Commerce. Prior to entering academia, he spent a little over a decade on manufacturing projects, working as a Systems Engineer optimizing plant automation and designing and implementing enterprise information systems.
Associate Prof Kosheek Sewchurran holds a doctorate in Project Organising (PhD) from UCT; a Master of Science in Systems Thinking (MSc) from UKZN; a Bachelor of Science Honours in Computer Science (CompSci) from UKZN; and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering and Operations Research (BSc) from UNISA.

Mbali Gushu (Zondi) was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, on the East Coast of South Africa. She was selected to be a part of the inaugural class of the African Leadership Academy for outstanding leadership potential and academic promise. She attended Barnard College of Columbia University in New York studying Economics. Mbali has worked in the media industry abroad at NBC Universal and as a writer for business lifestyle magazine, DESTINY. She believes in the transformative power of social innovation and knows this will make great strides to positively developing the African continent. For the past 5 years Mbali has worked in education in Africa as Country Coordinator for ThinkImpact; heading up South Africa recruitment at Nova Pioneer Schools and as the Africa, Chief of Staff at Teach For All.

Muriel Mokgathi-Mvubu known as MoAfrika wa Mokgathi is a Mamelodi born, South African based multifaceted artist. She is a Writer, Poet, Performer, cultural activist, teaching artist, Arts codes adjudicator, Curator, award-winning Radio broadcaster and a serial civic leader amongst many in her talent hat.
MoAfrika is a Co-founder of Hear My Voice an NGO that uses poetry as catalyst to address social issues (Uncensored) and curates’ international cultural exchanges. She seats on the Airco (Association of independent Record Companies) as an Executive director and Board member advocating for indies in the country. She is host and producer at Trans Africa Radio (Dstv 872) covering arts content and jazz music from the African continent.
