What is the Teach The Nation fellowship?
Teach The Nation is a transformative educational initiative, dedicated to driving positive change within South Africa's education landscape.
As a partner of the global non-profit organization, Teach for All, Teach the Nation is part of a leadership movement that includes 62 countries, through a shared mission to develop transformative leaders within the education system. We empower these leaders to cultivate learners holistically, improving academic achievement and their inherent leadership ability which can shape a new trajectory for their life.

Does the Teach The Nation Leadership Development Program pay me anything for being a part of the fellowship?
No, the Teach The Nation Leadership Development Program does not offer you any form of stipend for being a part of the program.
Do I need to pay anything towards being a part of the fellowship?
No, our fellows do not need to contribute anything financial to be a part of the Teach The Nation Development Program.
How much time needs to be allocated to the program?
We expected all fellows to commit to at least 2 sessions with their coaches per month, with a session varying in time per the needs of each individual fellow. A fellow can then meet further outside of this, should they wish.
Do I need a car to be a part of the fellowship?
No, you do not need a vehicle to be a part of the fellowship, as majority of our program will be conducted virtually. You are recommended to have a reliable source of internet, however.
Will the program be in-person or virtually implemented?
Majority of the program will be conducted virtually for your convenience, however, coaches will arrange for in-person school visits at least twice a year, to come and assess your development and whether you require more support.
