FAQ's on our Scholarship

Do you fund PGCE?

Yes we do fund PGCE studies, however, we have already allocated our budget for 2025 /2026 and will therefore not be funding PGCE students in 2026.

What subjects do I need to qualify?

You must be teaching one or more of the following subjects to qualify: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths), Languages (Home and First Additional Languages), IT, Coding or Robotics.

Will I be paid for the scholarship?

You will not be paid for the scholarship.  It is a fully funded two-year leadership development scholarship with no cost to you. You must however, be committed to complete the two-year program.

Is the scholarship a full-time position?

The two-Year Leadership Development Scholarship is not a full-time program and will not interfere with school times.  The program is communicated in advance for each school term to allow enough time for planning and optimal participation.

What qualifications do I receive after the fellowship?

You will receive a Leadership Certificate upon successful completion of the two-year scholarship.

Is the program SACE accredited?

Yes, our program is SACE accredited.

What happens if I change schools, do I need to leave the program?

You will remain in the program even if you change schools. You must however be teaching in a school for the duration of the two years that you are in the program.

Can I apply for the scholarship if I am busy with Post Graduate Studies?

We do not recommend that you apply for the scholarship if you are a full-time teacher and studying part-time. We would encourage you to rather apply for the program when you have completed your studies. We recruit teachers for our program every year.

Can I apply for the program if I do not have a SACE Certificate?

You must have a  SACE Certificate or proof that your SACE application is in process in order to apply for the program.

What is the duration of the Fellowship?

The Fellowship is a two -year, full-time leadership and teaching journey.

What support will I receive during the Fellowship?

Fellows receive bi-monthly coaching, classroom observation feedback, wellbeing support, and access to national learning workshops and leadership training.

What happens after the two -year Fellowship?

You’ll join a national alumni network focused on leadership, innovation in education, and lifelong impact. Alumni receive ongoing learning opportunities, networking, and project development support.

What makes TTN different from other teacher training programmes?

We integrate leadership development, social justice training, and High-Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) with coaching — helping you grow as a teacher and as a leader.
